Keeping your heat pump working well during the cold winter months.

Hello Make It Wright Customers,

The cold winter months are the worst times for your heat pump system to stop working. Here are a few tips to keep your heat pump working well throughout the colder months.

  1. Make sure your air filter is not clogged and replace the filter if it's dirty. When your filter is too dirty it restricts airflow and this greatly reduces the performance of your unit. A great way to check your filter is to hold it up to a light. If you see very little or no light, replace your filter.

  2. If you are finding that your home is not warming up as much as you would like, turn your fan speed on high. This will increase the output of the unit.

  3. Ensure that snow does not pile around your outdoor unit.
