  • "Two years ago my wife and I decided to decarbonize, moving from oil heat to a Mitsubishi HyperHeat 2 system. That choice was the easy part. Mitsubishi systems are the best built, most efficient and quietest systems in the world. But who should install it, and what sort of indoor units did we want? Surely we could get advice and detailed information from the folks who install the systems. We talked to more than a dozen, and invited 4 to give us bids. Things went bad fast, as business sales reps advised us to accept bizarre heat pump placement options, oversold the number of units needed, could not explain the pros/cons of overhead vs wall mounted vs floor mounted indoor units. Every sales pitch was how fast their teams could install the one system they specialized in and were pushing. Ugh! Then came Matt Wright. Matt arrived initially to answer oil furnace issues as we needed that system to continue to function until we replaced it. Matt was quiet, professional, listened to us, had a great sense of humor, gave sound advice based on challenges our 1940’s Seattle bungalow design created, and was a strong supporter of heat pumps - Mitsubishi in particular. His is a smaller business, and unlike big name HVAC firms cranking out sales to meet quotas, Matt was interested in having satisfied customers. Based on our experiences we quickly recognized how exceptional Matt was, and chose him to do our system installation. We were over the moon satisfied and remain so now, one year later. We asked for some exceptional items, like a cement mounting pad, and Matt made it all happen on very short notice.
